We have a new group of summer interns starting at Crystal Valley! Every year we select around 10 college students to gain experience and help with our summer operations. This year we have selected students from South Dakota State University, South Central College, Iowa State University, and Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Kade Wassman, a Sales Agronomist Intern, was awarded the 2022 Dan Trullinger Scholarship this summer. This $2,000 scholarship is given to a Crystal Valley intern in memory of Dan Trullinger, a former Crystal Valley agronomist. He was a great mentor to his interns and took pride in watching them develop their Agronomic skills.

This summer at Crystal Valley will be hosting 11 interns in Agronomy, Feed, and Grain at various locations around our trade territory. While some have started their internship experience, most will begin early to mid-May.

Over the past month, Crystal Valley hosted the third and fourth intern training with leading industry professionals. On June 18, representatives from Brevant and Corteva joined the group in Nicollet. The presentation covered the products offered and also how their respective companies became who they are today. Before the presentation, interns went to a Crystal Valley research plot in Nicollet, MN, looking at plant health in corn and soybeans.

This summer, Crystal Valley will be hosting 15 interns at various locations around our trade territory. Each intern will be doing a summer project, complete with a group presentation at the end of their internship experience.

The Feed Division is happy to announce our newest member of the team, Jodi More, Feed Division intern for the summer of 2021. Jodi grew up on a farm in the Mapleton, MN area and currently attends Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN.
